This course will teach effective ways to understand and engage family members and professionals who are involved in the foster care system including birth, foster and adoptive parents and their case workers. You will learn how to increase empathy for the foster child, craft successful behavioral modification plans and advocate for mental health needs. The course will also provide recommendations and strategies for collaborating with other professionals in treatment collaboration, such as psychiatrists, educators and attorneys.
