Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner (CTRP) – Trainer Track Exam
The CTRP - Trainer Track Exam is a special exam that has been created for professionals interested in becoming a Starr Certified Trainer (CTRT) and therefore completing the prerequisite courses/requirements (i.e., CTRP Certification) in the most direct, cost-conscious, and strategic manner possible.
CTRT requirements as follows:
- Children of Trauma and Resilience
- Structured Sensory Interventions II
- Trauma-Informed Resilient Schools
- Resetting for Resilience
- Healing Trauma & Restoring Resilience in Schools
- CTRP Exam and therefore approved CTRP certification
After achieving Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner certification, you may use the credential “CTRP”, which stands for Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner.
Maintaining CTRP Certification
Once you earn your certification, you must keep it up-to-date on an annual basis by successfully completing one approved Starr course/training (or otherwise approved content).
Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner (CTRP) – Clinical Track Exam
Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner-Clinical (CTRP-C) requirements:
- Children of Trauma and Resilience
- Structured Sensory Interventions II
- Trauma-Informed, Resilience-Focused Assessment & Differential Diagnosis
- 2 Starr courses of your choice
- CTRP-C Exam
After achieving Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner certification, you may use the credential “CTRP-C”, which stands for Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner - Clinical.
Maintaining Certification
Once you earn your certification, you must keep it up-to-date. All you need to do each calendar year is:
- Complete one of Starr’s CE approved 6 credit online courses, OR
- Attend a full-day Starr training (in-person or virtual), OR
- Complete otherwise approved content (e.g., a predetermined number of sessions at Starr’s Annual Trauma & Resilience Conference)

- Once purchased, you will have access to the exam for 1-year (365 days)
Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner Exam – Education Track
Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner-Education (CTRP-E) requirements:
- Trauma-Informed Resilient Schools
- Resetting for Resilience
- Healing Trauma and Restoring Resilience in Schools
- 2 courses of your choice
- CTRP-E Exam
After achieving Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner certification, you may use the credential “CTRP-E”, which stands for Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner - Education.
Maintaining Certification
