Post-Traumatic Growth

The concept of growing from, gaining in meaning, or benefiting in some way from personal experiences with trauma is called post-traumatic growth. Helping individuals develop post-traumatic growth in addition to coping with the aftermath of traumatic events and loss, can make a huge difference in their future lives. This course will teach participants how to promote this new growth and meaning in others. We will discuss the importance of core beliefs and how important they are in healing. Participants will learn hands-on activities to promote this growth in the individuals they work with.

  • The difference between resilience and post-traumatic growth.
  • Understand how core beliefs impact their ability to heal from trauma.
  • Learn what the key components that are imperative for post-traumatic growth are.
