In this episode, Becca Gerlach (Starr Commonwealth's Director of Starr Behavioral Health) explains how the COVID-19 pandemic increases the risk of substance use, the link between trauma and addiction, and the additional risk this current crisis has created. Participants will also learn how to think about engagement and outreach with vulnerable populations, and case examples will be shared to think about how to structure sessions and build connections in a time of physical distancing.
